Andrea Cesari is currently the principal horn of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo. He previously held the same position with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento from 2009 to 2017. In 2004, he graduated with top honors from the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna. He furthered his studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, under Radovan Vlatković, earning a Master’s degree in Instrumental Performance in 2017.
Cesari has won several accolades, including first prize at the “Audimozart! 2008” International Competition for the interpretation of Mozart’s concertos. He has collaborated with numerous orchestras, such as the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra Verdi in Milan, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Tiroler Festspiele Erl in Austria, and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra..

As a soloist, Cesari has performed with ensembles including the Orchestre de Chambre de Montréal in Canada, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, and the orchestra of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, receiving acclaim from both audiences and critics. After his initial graduation, he refined his skills with Guido Corti and Luca Benucci in Italy, as well as with Dale Clevenger in Chicago, USA.
In addition to his orchestral work, Cesari is active in chamber music and has participated in various masterclasses and festivals, sharing his expertise with aspiring horn players.
